REALITY THEATER™ COMES TO THE JIM BONNEY STUDIO THIS FALL

Charles Messina’s new play “The Great Divide” about love and infidelity allows the audience to decide the ending. NahNotOutsideMyHouse! Productions Inc., in association with Actors That Work Productions is proud to present the world premiere of Charles Messina’s new play, "THE GREAT DIVIDE." Into every relationship a little division must come. Married couple Paul and Sara are no different. When Paul admits to having a “feeling” for his co-worker, Nicole, it triggers a series of events which change Paul’s life, as well as the lives of those around him, forever, including his best friend, Max, whose marriage also hits the rocks. In the end, Paul finds himself torn between his wife and his lover, and unable to choose between the two. That’s where the audience comes in.

“The Great Divide” offers its audience a fun and interactive theatergoing experience like no other. What makes the show so special is that the audience gets to decide Paul’s fate. Should he stay with his wife? Should he leave his marriage for his mistress, whom he clearly loves? Should he be on his own? You decide! This unique twist, coined Reality Theater™ by author/director Messina, allows the audience to vote for the ending of their choice. Only they can bridge the Great Divide!

"THE GREAT DIVIDE " is written by Charles Messina (“ Mercury: The Afterlife and Times of a Rock God”,” Spy The Movie”) and directed by Jim Bonney (“The Battle”) and Messina. The play stars Tim Rock (“Focus Room”, “Bobby Gould In Hell”), Gina Ferranti (“Spy The Movie”, ”The Battle”), Emily Mudd (“Michigan Takedown”), and Chris Oliver (“Couples”).

NahNotOutsideMyHouse! Prods.’ name was inspired by Robert DeNiro’s response to Messina when the young writer attempted to pitch a script to the movie star outside his TriBeCa home.

Actors That Work Productions is the brainchild of Artistic Director Bonney, whose credits include Danny and the Deep Blue Sea at the John Houseman Theater and Pirates of Penzance at the Herberger Theater.

“THE GREAT DIVIDE” opens Friday, November 21, 2003 and runs through December 21st at the Jim Bonney Studio, 134 West 26th Street. Tickets are $15. For more info call
